Bubo Virginianus Virginianus (great horned owl)
From Central and South America comes, of course, the Great horned owl (Bubo Virginianus virginianus). They are 43-64 cm. high and have a wingspan of 91-153 cm. they weigh 1225-1600 grams. They breed from March to May 2-6 eggs hatch in 30 days.
